The Wave House

Luxurious in every detail, The Wave House is an expansive rancher of over 3,800 sq ft and soaring 18-ft high ceilings. The Wave House is complete with three large living rooms & four Satellite TVs.-All separately programmable in English or Spanish; Two full-service kitchens.  Air Condition in every room with tons of ceiling fans ensuring a cool atmosphere.    A swim up tended pool bar-stocked with your favorite cocktails-(additional)   The house  even has a  work desk & with Free Wi-Fi internet.  Stock the kitchen &  cook your meals or keep between session snacks on hand.  

Surfing Playa Negra-how does it compare?

Most of surfing in Costa Rica is generally very tidal & only break on certain conditions.  Places like Tamarindo & Playa Grande are perfect examples.  Playa Grande ONLY breaks on an incoming high tide.  Tamarindo, besides being super crowded, only has a small swell window making it very fickle.  Playa Negra is unique in that it breaks on all tides, picks up most all swell directions & holds a swell.   It is the area’s swell magnet therefore super consistent. If it is flat in Negra, then it is likely flat everywhere.  Conversely, Negra is the first to pick up swells & hold them the longest-A surfer’s dream.  Playa Negra may be a little harder to get to, in some cases even find, by driving through local dirt roads without directional signs but worth the adventure. This is one of the reasons the Wave House was strategically built here.  Plus, we are strategically poised to go explore some of the lesser known spots that will go nameless.  Let’s just say they are close by & no one wants to show you where they are either. We will take you there.

A cultural expereince you won’t forget

The community surrounding the Wave House, Playa Negra de los pargos, is like going back in a time machine.   You get to experience life, as it was, before any real outside development & influence. The lands surrounding the Wave House are still ”virgin” & undisturbed.   It is still customary to see real cowboys, wild horses, cattle traffic jams, wild bull fights, wild monkeys, toucans & more.    An expereince  that makes a stay at the Wave House unique.  This experience  will last long after you visit.  A cultural exprience that is becoming rare-if not extinct .  Yet, we are slightly over a 1 hour drive from the Liberia International Airport.

How to Get Here:
Simple & Quick. Fly into Liberia, Costa Rica. Our house is just over 1 hour drive from Liberia. We will be there to personally pick you up and take you to the house you don’t need to worry about transportation as it is included. You will be picked up by your personal surf guide Maykol with our Toyota Land cruiser.
